Shireen designed and built CoSeat herself to make that idea real.
Our group's seats got split across different coaches on a booking — nothing unusual, the kind of thing that happens on almost every Indian train journey with more than a couple of people. Except this time it took the fun out of traveling together, and it felt genuinely unsafe being separated for an overnight run.
Worse, there was no real way to sort it out until everyone had already boarded and the seats were occupied — which meant walking down the train, coach by coach, asking strangers to trade. That's an awkward ask on a good day. On a late-night train, it's a lot to ask of anyone — and it's a much harder, riskier ask for a solo woman traveler or a senior citizen than it is for most of us.
That gap — between "I'd rather sit with my group" and "I have to walk up to a stranger's berth to ask" — is what CoSeat was built to close.

I'm Shireen — a young student and builder from Gurugram. I came up with CoSeat's core idea after a family train trip, then designed and built the product myself, with guidance from my parents. I'm a curious & passionate problem-solver who loves tackling new challenges using technology.
